Not in this case, Gilles. The ichu (that yellow grass) have that color around the whole year. Except in our springs when it take partially a green tone. Actually in the Andean plateau it means life…
This makes me feel more comfortable, Francis ! Many Thanks !
I am glad for that. That’s the nature at more than 4000 meters above sea level, a Romanian friend told me that that’s the altitude planes fly in Europe. : )
Airliners fly more around 10000 meters, Francis. The Alps peak above 4000 meters … but not above 5000 meters !
Oh! thank you Gilles, searching in internet I see that commercial planes goes above 10 000 meters, perhaps my friend is thinking in little planes. Thanks for your observation Gilles. I searched better about the subject.
Near my city is the highest city on the world (although it is more a mining town to me) at 5100 meters https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Rinconada_(Pérou)
Such big barren spaces impress me… but I see the sheep eating something… and now that I read Gilles’ comment, I understand better… again, it is a joy to see your part of the world through your eyes, in a gentle manner… thank you Francis.
Thank you, Caroline. Those fields are the ones I used to run and play when child. The sun burns in a sweet way the skin and it’s toasted smell blends with the one from the ground… Thanks for your kindness, Caroline. n_n
yellow also means dry, doesn’t it, Francis ?
